RAT-A-TAT REEDS    February 28, 1990 to March 13, 2000

Our first STAR! feature is in memory of Rat-a-Tat........a very special kitty to everyone who knew her, and "The Best Cat Ever!" to her owners, Jim and Nadia Reeds.  Her last few weeks were full of special attention and lots of human love as she bravely struggled with bladder cancer.  But this is not about her untimely demise; this is a celebration of her very special life.
 
 

Rat-a-Tat was of the Turkish Van breed with lots of beautiful fur and a huge bushy tail that would issue a greeting of its own.  She adored her garden full of bugs and birds and was a friend to everyone and everything except dogs, which she likened to busses: "big, smelly, and noisy!".
 
 

Rat-a-Tat was something of a journalistic wonder and sent exceedingly entertaining letters to the staff of Midtown which she managed to tap out on her owner's laptop.  We will all greatly miss her correspondence.
 
 

Here's to Rat-a-Tat.......may she chase bugs and sniff catnip to her heart's content for all eternity!
