Strategies for Purchasing Tansformation

http://www.futurepurchasing.com is the web site of the Future Purchasing Alliance and its major worldwide research venture on "Strategies for Purchasing Transformation". It is being led by the MAI Institute of International Purchasing at Bordeaux Business School, the Windsor Foundation for Business Development, Henley Management College, DILF and Avante Partners. A network of institutes and universities worldwide is fully supporting the programme. The research project is identifying the emerging trends, future opportunities, best practices and radical new innovations that are being pursued by organisations in both the private and the public sectors worldwide. The first substantial executive briefing on the findings from the research project, entitled "Connecting Purchasing & Supplier Strategies to Shareholder Value - Emerging Trends for Executive Action", is now available. Registered users can download this report - and also the series of practitioner briefing notes, examining topical themes in purchasing transformation.

Researching, Developing, Sharing and Advising on Innovation and Best Practice in Purchasing Transformation Worldwide

Capturing the value from third party suppliers and transforming purchasing has become a critical imperative for organisations in both the private and public sectors. There has always been a serious shortage of practitioner friendly, leading edge frameworks for action capable of guiding and informing organisational decision-making in this area. The Future Purchasing Alliance has been formed to address that need. We are actively examining and communicating practical insights into strategic options involving third party suppliers that will drive sustainable improvement in purchasing performance. The Future Purchasing Alliance is supporting pioneering and committed organisations worldwide in the quest for superior and sustainable value from their suppliers.
